New Music: Fifth Harmony – Bo$$

fifth-harmony-boss-single-cover

Fifth Harmony has finally released ‘Bo$$’, the lead single of their upcoming full length studio album.  The long awaited track was premiered yesterday (July 5) on MTV.

Produced by Ricky Reed, Bo$$ is reminiscent of works by Destiny Child. The song, especially the pre-chorus is very catchy and quite radio-ready.The production on the song is also awesome but unfortunately ruined by cheesy and moronic lyrics. High profile personalities and celebs like Michelle Obama, Oprah, Kanye West and Ray J were shockingly name dropped just for rhyming sake.

Bo$$ is not bad but Fifth Harmony need to do better if they want to be a force in the industry.

NEW MUSIC: Craig David – ‘Cold’

Anyone who thought Craig David is washed up and finished should listen to his brand new single, ‘Cold’. Absolutely breathtaking and amazing!

After a 4-year-hiatus and seemingly only interested in body building, the 33-year-old crooner is back with an urban jam called ‘Cold’.

‘Cold’ is the lead single of Craig’s forthcoming sixth studio album, ‘Following My Intuition’. The album will be his first record to feature original material since ‘Trust Me’ in 2007.

New Music: Broods – ‘L.A.F’

‘Broods’ has premiered yet another song from their forthcoming LP ‘Evergreen’. The song titled ‘L.A.F’ is the most uptempo song released from the New Zealand pop duo.

‘L.A.F’ is another gem released from Georgia and Caleb. Hypnotizing chorus, soaring vocals plus great production from Joel Little.

NEW MUSIC: Ariana Grande – ‘Break Free (Feat. Zedd)

Even though ‘Problem’ is still hot on radio and dominating charts, Ariana Grande has decided to move on and release a new single, ‘Break Free’. Produced by Zedd and Max Martin, the 21-year-old vocalist is now experimenting with EDM.

We expected Ariana to move forward and not backward. ‘Break Free’ is generic and a hot mess.com. This is by far the worst single ever released by her since she shot to stardom with debut single ‘The Way’.
The only positive from the song is that she is enunciating better than her other songs.

New Music: Chris Brown – ‘New Flame’ (Feat. Rick Ross)

Another day another Chris Brown song leaks on net. The song titled New Flame is appearing on Brown’s next record ‘X’. It is also assisted by Rick Ross.

Listen to New Flame after the jump…

Wow this is absolutely amazing!  A cool romantic mid-tempo trademark Chris Brown record.
It seems he is going back to his ‘Exclusive’ days.

However I’m not sure whether Big Ross was needed on the track. He nearly ruined such a magical piece.

Chris should hurry release this rad song on itunes. I’m pretty sure it will slay and place Chris on where he belongs on the chart – The Top!

New Song: Mariah Carey – You’re Mine (Eternal)

The wait is finally over, Mariah Carey is back!

After unsuccessful releases of series of lukewarm songs as potential lead single, Queen Mimi has finally unleashed ‘You’re Mine’ some how a better record as the official first single off her forthcoming studio album. The song, a palpable cousin of Mariah’s 2005 smash hit We Belong Together was produced by ace producer Rodney Darkchild Jerkins.

You’re Mine is a decent record but it’s just great for Mimi’s standards. Also, It’s too bland for radio to eat it up. Hopefully the promo will be intense otherwise Mimi would find herself languishing at the bottom of the charts once again.

New Song: Jennifer Lopez & DJ Mustard – ‘Girls’

Jennifer Lopez and DJ Mustard teamed up to released a brand new urban banger titled 'Girls'.

Jennifer Lopez says she wants the girls to have fun so she’s back a real banger – ‘Girls’.

J. LO teamed up with D.J Mustard to bring forth ‘Girl’, her first song to be released in 2014.

We are still not sure whether ‘Girls’ would be on Jennifer’s upcoming album which is scheduled to be released later this year.
All the same ‘Girls’ is rad, and we are happy J.LO is going back to her urban roots after EDM dominating much of her music of late.
