Jason Derulo’s ‘Talk Dirty’ Set To Flop
It’s seems Jason Derulo is the real definition of a ‘single artist’. His singles always do well on the charts but when it comes to selling of albums he disappoints.
Derulo’s debut and sophomore album (Jason Derulo and Future History) have sold a shockingly disgraceful 500,000 copies since their release in 2010 and 2011 respectively. On his debut album, lead single ‘In My Head’ hit NO.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, yet still the album was a big commercial flop.
Well Mr. Derulo’s album sales enigma has still not changed. His new album ‘Talk Dirty’ is sadly destined flop.
According to the ever reliable site Hits Daily Double, ‘Talk Dirty’ is projected to sell between 30k and 35k. More is shocking is that newcomer August Alsina’s debut album ‘Testimony’ is on course to outsell ‘Talk Dirty’ with respectable sales between 50-60k.
Although ‘Talk Dirty’ is predicted to be a commercial embarrassment, it hasn’t stop single/title track ‘Talk Dirty’ from performing wonderful on the Hot 100 chart. This week, the 2 Chainz-assisted track is positioned at #4 on the chart (already peaked at #3).
